Course Information & Enrollment Details

 

1. Comprehensive Pilates Certification

The Mindful Movement Pilates Teacher Training is a comprehensive program designed to prepare you to confidently teach safe, effective, and inspiring beginner, intermediate, and advanced level exercises rooted in classical principles with a modern, mindful approach, this course blends anatomy, teaching skills, personal practice, and mentorship to help you grow as both a mover and a teacher.

By the end of this training, you will:

  • Understand the History and foundations of Pilates: principles, terminology, and key exercises

  • Gain skills to cue, modify, and progress movements for different bodies and abilities

  • Learn how to design balanced, creative class sequences

  • Build confidence in leading private and group sessions

  • Deepen your own mind-body connection and personal practice

 

2. Who This Training Is For

This course is ideal for:

  • Students who love Pilates and want to deepen their practice

  • Wellness professionals (yoga teachers, personal trainers, physical therapists, dancers, etc.) looking to add Pilates to their skillset

  • Anyone interested in a career shift into teaching movement and supporting others

  • Current instructors who want a refresher or structured training aligned with national standards

No prior teaching experience is required. A minimum of 6–12 months of consistent Pilates practice is recommended.

 

3. Certificate of Completion

Upon successful completion of:

  • All in-person training

  • Required self-practice and observation hours

  • Practice teaching and teaching evaluations

  • Final written and practical assessments

…you will receive a Mindful Movement Pilates Teacher Certificate of Completion.

This training is designed to support preparation for the National Pilates Certification Exam. While this course itself is not the national exam, it follows key concepts and standards that align with it and can be an important step on your path toward national certification.

 

4. Course Format & Schedule

Format:

  • Combination of lecture, discussion, partner work, and practice teaching

  • Also Includes class observation, self-practice, and studying between modules

Training Dates: Nine Weeks

  • Frequency: Twice a month (First and third weekend of the month)

  • Training Days: Saturday and Sunday

  • Start Date: 02/07/26

  • End Date: 06/07/26

Weekend Modules: (Subject to change)

  • Saturdays: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

  • Sundays: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Total Training Hours (Example):

  • In-Person Instruction on All Apparatus & Anatomy / Special Populations 90 Hours

  • Observation & Self-Practice: 160 Hours

  • Practice Teaching: hours: 200 Hours

  • Total Program Hours: 450 Hours

  • Mentorship, Teaching evaluations, NPCP Exam Preparation Support

6. Investment & Payment Options

Tuition:

  • Standard Tuition: $5,000

  • Comprehensive Mat & Reformer (CMR) Tuition: $3,000

Payment Plans:
Payment plans are available to make the training more accessible. Example options:

  • Full Comprehensive Training: 6 monthly payments of $875.00

  • Comprehensive Mat & Reformer (CMR): 4 monthly payments of $787.00

A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required to reserve your spot. This deposit will be applied toward your total tuition.

What’s Included in Tuition:

  • All scheduled training modules and instruction

  • Course manual / training materials

  • National Pilates Certification Exam Study Guide

  • Access to studio for required observation and practice teaching hours (during agreed upon times)

  • Feedback and mentorship throughout the program

  • Final assessment (written + practical) and certificate upon successful completion

  • Access to group classes if a class is not full

  • 50% Discount on class packages

Not Included:

  • Additional material referenced in the course i.e., ACSM’S Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription, Wolters Kluwer.

  • Personal liability insurance which must be obtained before practice teaching with a client in Mindful Movement Studio.

 

7. Attendance & Completion Requirements

To receive your certificate, you must:

  • Attend all scheduled training hours

  • Make up any missed hours through approved options (private sessions, extra assignments, or additional coursework; extra fees may apply)

  • Complete all homework, observation logs, and practice teaching hours

  • Successfully pass the final written and practical evaluation

If you are unable to complete the program as scheduled, options for deferring or repeating specific modules may be available at an additional cost and can be discussed on a case-by-case basis with Marissa Ford.

 

8. Refunds & Cancellation Policy

  • Deposit: Non-refundable

  • Tuition Refunds:

    • Cancellation 30+ days before start date: 75% refund of tuition, minus $300 deposit

    • Cancellation 14–29 days before start date: 50% of tuition, minus $300 deposit

    • Cancellation less than 14 days before start date: No refund, but credit toward a future training may be considered and can be discussed

If the training is canceled or rescheduled by the studio, all participants will be offered either a full refund or transfer to new dates.

 

9. What to Bring

For training days, please bring:

  • Comfortable movement clothing

  • Water bottle and snacks

  • Notebook, pen, and highlighter

  • Your training manual or workbook

  • Any required textbook(s)

 

 

10. Expectations Outside of Training Days

To get the most from this experience, trainees are expected to:

  • Maintain a regular personal Pilates practice (classes, privates, or self-practice)

  • Complete assigned reading and written reflections

  • Log practice teaching sessions with friends, family, or clients (when appropriate)

This program is not just about learning exercises—it’s about growing into your voice as a teacher.

  3. Enroll & Prepare

    • Once accepted and deposit is paid, you’ll receive a Welcome Packet with:

      • Required / suggested reading

      • Training schedule and contact information

      • What to bring on the first day
